Oh How I Love My Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker

I have been contemplating the purchase of an ice cream maker for a very long time now. You know, the kind that you can make your very own ice cream concoctions in your own home? There are quite a few different types, brands, and sizes of these ice cream makers. I finally broke down and bought a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker and I and my kids absolutely love it! In fact, they fight over who gets to make the ice cream, add the ingredients, etc.

We got the electric kind that you can also manually crank. At first, they all wanted to crank it. But after a while, they now prefer to let it electronically mix the ice cream! (No surprise there!) They love to make ice cream and add lots of delicious add ins, such as brownies, oreo cookies, M&Ms, fruit, etc. And, I have to say, the ice cream turns out simply delicious! I think our Cuisinart ice cream maker is going to get a lot of use this summer!

My Active Son and His Toy Box

I am going to go out and get my son a new toy box. He broke his other one all up by climbing all over it. I do not know why the boy insists on doing such things. I guess he is just bored. He is a very active young man, and he always has to be doing something. I guess I am going to have to get him into doing more activities outside of the home because when he is bored, he gets into trouble. I am going to have to get him into more play groups. I am starting to see that only going once a week is not going to do him any justice. I am also thinking of getting him into a daycare that will do a number of activities, so he will be good and tired when he gets home. He needs to burn off all of that energy in the right way, rather than using it to be destructive.

Our Chess Get Togethers Are Special to Us

Every single month, Connie and I get together to play chess. Our chess get together is special to us for two reasons. One reason that our get together is special to us is because we are the best of friends, and we love spending any time together that we can. It is hard to get together like we want to because our families and our kids keep us busy. Another reason that our chess get together are special to us is because we are both passionate about our chess hobby. We love everything having to do with chess. We collect chess sets that have various kinds of chess pieces, and we buy various books about chess. We are even a part of a few online chess communities, where there are message boards and online chess games.

Today will be no different. Our gathering is going to be fun filled, and it will be her turn to cook dinner for both of us.

A Surprise for Caitlyn

Caitlyn told me that she is going to get a toddler bed for her daughter. The purchase is a long overdue one, since her daughter is three in a half and still sleeping in a crib. I had no need to ask her what took her so long because I already knew. Money was a commodity for my friend, and she could only purchase the toddler bed when the budget allowed.

What Caitlyn does not know is that I am going to pay for the toddler bed for her. I am going to make her think she is paying for it herself, but she will be in for a big surprise when she gets up to the counter. I am going to whip out my wallet, and I will let her know that I will be taking care of the purchase. She will most certainly be happy when I do that. I cannot wait to make my friend’s day. That woman really deserves to be happy.
